Gossip Girl is an anonymous blogger who began her detailed accounts of Manhattan's elite group of socialites and rich kids during her first year at Constance Billiard school in Manhattan. She is the narration in most episodes and has eyes and ears all around the city aiding her in information.
Most of Gossip Girl's information is received through tips given by her loyal followers through text messages and emails.
Her identity is unknown, but nearly all characters take her rumors and gossip seriously, as she has made it very clear that she does not (intentionally) post unverifiable information. Most of her tips are accompanied by pictures to add validity to her stories and her "GG blasts" she sends out to her subscribers: mass text messages that have been known to even stop parties.
