În episodul 23 al sezonului 3, respectiv episodul 83 al întregii serii, intitulat "The Dress Rehearsal (aka Blessed Event)" premiera februarie 22, 1963

Aici ai rezumatul episodului: In order to prepare for the new baby, Fred and Barney rehearse taking Wilma to the hospital. Then the real thing happens and Wilma gives birth to a baby girl and names her Pebbles.

Note: caricatures of "Dr. Ben Casey" and "Dr. Zorba" make a brief appearance (and appear again, in the fifth season episode "Monster Fred"). Prior to this episode being aired, the network hosted the "Name the Flintstone Baby Contest". The contest promised the winner an all expense paid trip to the "Flintstone Studio" where the animation was done.
